About your coach

TOMMY
LACONGO.

From Orchard Park Little League to Division I and professional baseball. Now I bring that experience into every athlete I coach at Stretch & Fire.

My baseball background

FROM ORCHARD PARK
TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

I grew up playing baseball in Orchard Park, starting at Orchard Park Little League and continuing through Orchard Park High School, where I earned the Maroon Key Award and All-WNY recognition.

From there, I played at Monroe Community College, where I was named Male Athlete of the Year in 2015, Regional Championship MVP, and later to the PickinSplinters All-Decade Team. I then played two seasons of Division I baseball at St. Bonaventure University.

My playing career continued beyond college through professional, collegiate summer, and winter baseball, giving me the opportunity to compete in a variety of high-level environments.

TURNING EXPERIENCE
INTO DEVELOPMENT.

MY GOAL IS TO HELP PLAYERS UNDERSTAND THEIR SWING, BUILD CONFIDENCE, AND GET RESULTS THAT SHOW UP IN GAMES.

After my playing career, I served as the hitting and catching coach at Erie Community College. During my two seasons as hitting coach, the Kats went 77–32 and scored nearly 1,000 runs.

Since then, I’ve worked with hundreds of athletes and built my training around body awareness, launch quickness, and mental approach. That experience became the foundation for the system I now teach at Stretch & Fire.
